Blended Learning for all AIPE students

If you are considering an AIPE course, you'll be excited to hear about a new learning mode we've recently introduced.

At AIPE, we believe that incorporation of technology is instrumental in your learning so we've developed a unique methodology where we offer a student centred, flexible, self-paced, multi-modal approach to learning which we refer to as blended learning. In short, it's the teaching practice that intersects traditional face-to-face classroom based teaching and online teaching. We've incorporated a blended learning approach into the bulk of our courses as it reinforces key concepts and requires students to draw on their prior learning, acquire new knowledge and tap into their creativity to fashion new solutions to real world problems utilising a range of tools. It's a lot of fun and an increasingly popular way to learn.

Studying via a blended learning solution means that the majority of the course is delivered through face-to-face classroom based training and the remainder is delivered online via AIPE's eLearning portal.

Note: All of our courses are delivered via this blended learning approach except our accounting qualifications which are currently under development and will become available via this mode in 2012. In the meantime, should you wish to study accounting with us, international students will study wholly face-to-face. Domestic students can also study accounting with us in a face-to-face full-time study mode.

In each subject there is a similar pattern of assessment. There are specific assessment tasks such as projects, case studies and reports, there will be an interview with your tutor, and an online final exam. To pass each subject, you must successfully complete all the tasks set for you. Importantly, you will also be graded on your skills (where appropriate) such as communication, problem-solving, leadership, organizing and planning and teamwork. These skills are critical in distinguishing yourself in job interviews and in the workplace.
